The Morigin Project proposes a sustainable organizational system centered on the cultivation of Moringa Oleifera trees in rural villages across Sub-Saharan Africa, aiming to improve health, social, and economic conditions. By exploiting the plant’s natural properties, the project offers an affordable solution to eliminate viruses and bacteria, such as Escherichia coli, which cause cholera and intestinal infections. Additionally, the project supports local farmers’ cooperatives, promoting an autonomous business model based on the production and sale of Moringa-derived products. The initiative was launched with a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe, supported by a network of professionals from various sectors, including agriculture, NGOs, engineering, chemistry, and marketing. In collaboration with the Sunugal Association, the project began in the village of Beud Dieng, Senegal. Designed as a scalable, open-source system, it can be adapted to any village with favorable climatic conditions for Moringa cultivation, while ensuring respect for local land and populations.
