BIO RECOS® (for the fashion, automotive and upholstery industries) features a textile backing made from recycled fibers, coated with renewable biopolymers made from wheat and corn, among other plant components. The raw materials are obtained through safe practices for farmers and the environment, in accordance with the standards of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Biodiversity Conservation of the United Nations.
A biopolymer resin (where petroleum byproducts are replaced by plant-based substances) is applied to the textile backing to obtain a product with the same performance features as natural leather.
Our textiles are certified with Standard 100 by OEKO TEX®. We treat 100% of our wastewater, and reuse 70% for production processes.The use of clean energy such as electricity generated from natural gas allows us to be more environmentally friendly.
