Founded in 2017, The Vernacular Modern (formerly Woodlabs) is a design atelier honouring traditional craftsmanship by integrating vernacular techniques with contemporary innovation.

Inspired by Indigenous knowledge and locally sourced materials, the studio creates timeless pieces that celebrate heritage while embracing modernity. The Pakha exemplifies this ethos, bringing age-old practices to the forefront and reinterpreting them through a modern lens.
