Founded in 2023, Looply is a circular design initiative turning single-use soft plastics into durable, unique products through low-tech, community-driven processes. 

We help businesses and communities close the loop on single-use soft plastics by collecting their packaging waste and turning it into colourful, durable items sold back in-store. Deemed unrecyclable, soft plastics are heat-pressed and reworked into colourful everyday items, handcrafted using waste collected from public collection points. Our process invites communities to take part in climate action through creativity, sparking conversation and connection around consumption and reuse. By working at a neighbourhood scale, we reduce emissions and keep value within local economies. We’re currently developing a toolkit to replicate the model in other communities – making material circularity not just a concept, but a lived, visible, everyday practice.
