Our project addresses the disconnection from nature, loss of ancestral dye knowledge, and lack of access to local dye materials. By creating a digital and physical ecosystem—including the mapping of dye plants, an experimental garden-laboratory, a seed bank and a natural dye library, —we promote education, circularity, and community among artisans, farmers, and designers. Starting in Mexico, we aim to preserve endangered dyeing traditions while making natural dye materials more accessible and traceable. Through workshops, research, and design, we foster material sovereignty and sustainable production practices. This initiative supports biodiversity, empowers local communities, and strengthens regenerative systems in the textile industry.
