gurí is an ecosystem that connects different actors in responsible tourism to communicate, educate and design the travel industry in latin america.
tourism – when done right – can be an incredible source of sustainable economic growth for local communities. after extensive travel through the global south, we have witnessed how, sometimes, this industry approaches territories in an extractivist and colonial way.

from latin america and for latin america, we work on two key fronts: communication and system design.
First, we gather and share information about impactful tourism initiatives, making them accessible through our platform, to highlight those doing good. We also educate travelers on the real agency they have to make choices that are positive for all living things.
Second, we aim to design local tourism systems by collaborating with local governments, organizations, and businesses to generate regenerative travel ecosystems that support local communities and the environment.
