FREE FUTURE is a design performance that reimagines how we produce and consume everyday products, to prevent a future where the world becomes FUTURE FREE.
Mexico City has 25 million people—more than Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and London combined—but lacks basic recycling systems. Poor government collection means PET, cardboard, aluminum, and plastics end up in massive landfills.
Big brands won’t redesign packaging, so we’ll pressure them by empowering consumers. With every purchase, people can reward brands that offer real solutions to reduce environmental impact.
We’ll gift sustainable packaging designs to local brands capable of adapting quickly, and share them for free on freefuture.com.
These open-source designs let consumers give a second life to what used to be waste, reducing the environmental footprint of plastic bags and PET containers.
Together, we’ll shift power from corporations to the people.
