Eso Extensions offer a sustainable alternative to synthetic hair extensions, addressing the need for environmentally friendly solutions in the hair industry, which is projected to gross over £19 billion by 2028.

Hair extensions are commonly used by many women of colour for protective styling such as cornrows and box braids. However, popular synthetic hair brands often contain harmful, petroleum-based materials like PVC, acrylonitrile and vinyl chloride, which can lead to serious health issues. Additionally, these extensions contribute to landfill and water pollution due to their non-biodegradable nature and single-use design.

Eso Extension offer a bio-based alternative which is crafted from pineapple fibres and plant-based dyes to create hair-like texture. By collaborating with pineapple farmers in Nigeria, we repurpose what would otherwise be discarded waste, ensuring sustainability throughout the process. The leftover scraps are also returned to farmers to be used as fertiliser or livestock feed, further minimising waste.
