Water remediation solution based on the superpowers of willow trees and other plant species.

Long description

The Netherlands, as well as other regions are confronting significant challenges related to nitrogen and ammonia pollution, primarily stemming from agricultural activities and industrial emissions. This pollution affects water quality, biodiversity, and public health.

We want to filter freshwater’s pollution with local plant species. How? By deploying modular, floating platforms that support a mix of native emergent plants.
Highly adaptable and can be installed in lakes, ponds, or even canals while the modular design allows for scalability and targeted pollutant removal. Plus, biomass harvesting from these systems can be repurposed.
