Ambitious to launch in 2025, we want to bring South Africa’s first Circular Makerspace, Blueprint76. We are on a mission to remove barriers for individuals, small and medium businesses to create sustainable products. We aim to remove 76% of processing time, for early stage sustainable businesses.
Our model is a for-profit, membership based venture, which operates as a makerspace with access to tools, equipment and low-tech machines for creating waste to product. In our “Materials Bar” nook, we supply industrially processed, high quality recyclable material in a pay-as-you-consume model, as well as chemical applications, eliminating high costs and chemical wastage. In our workspace, machines are designed for medium volume production, and are low-tech, semi-automatic, specially designed to be energy efficient.
Our vision is for our members to scale out of our model, through enabling economies of scale for them to grow revenue and profits organically, continuing to build our circular economy.
