What are the Make it Circular Challenge winners working on now, and how did their trajectories change as a result of the coaching process? To find out, we caught up with Hannah Standen of MiCC winning project Alterist, a platform for upcycled fashion designers, and their mentor Puck Middelkoop, who is the founder of Hulaaloop, a circular rental service for children’s clothing.

We caught up with Noreen Mwancha from Rethread Africa, a startup manufacturing textiles from crop waste, and their mentor Lawrence Thiga to hear about their process. We covered how Lawrence was able to lend a bit of extra muscle to Rethread’s negotiations, his guidance in getting the Rethread team from point A to point B on action points big and small, and how a small word of encouragement can go a long way.

Here, we sit down with Sunny and Kigge to learn more about their work supporting creative entrepreneurs around the world, and what they’re still dreaming about doing in the future. We also talk about their approach to circular and life-centred design, and share a few tips for innovators at the beginning of their journey.
